Privacy
You're being asked to send a document with your business's consumption data on it. Here's exactly what happens to it.
What we collect
The details you type into the quote form: your business name, your name, email, phone, the site postcode, what happens at the site, who controls the roof, your retailer and your approximate annual spend. The electricity bill you attach. Any notes you add.
We also record which page you were on when you submitted, the query string on that page and the page that referred you. That's so we can tell which parts of this site are useful and which aren't. It isn't used to build a profile of you.
Who reads your bill
We're an independent assessment service. Your bill is reviewed and priced by an accredited commercial installer we work with, who funds this service. You're never invoiced, and there's no obligation.
In practice that means two parties: us, and the accredited installer who prepares your proposal. Nobody else. Your bill isn't sold, isn't distributed to a list of installers competing for the job, and isn't used for anything other than assessing your site.
How it's stored
Bills are treated as confidential business information. They're transmitted over an encrypted connection, stored encrypted at rest, and access is limited to the people working on your assessment. They're never written to this website's server.
How long we keep it
Twenty-four months from your last contact with us, unless you ask for it sooner. If a project goes ahead, the installer keeps what they need for the work and their own obligations, and that becomes subject to their privacy policy as well as this one.
Getting it deleted
Email hello@commercialsolarquotes.com.au and ask. We'll delete your bill and your details and confirm when it's done, usually within a few days. You don't need a reason, and asking doesn't affect any proposal already with you.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages lead to a bill being sent. That involves cookies set by Google. We don't run advertising pixels or share your form answers with any analytics platform.
Complaints
Write to us first at hello@commercialsolarquotes.com.au. If you're not satisfied with how we handle it, you can take a privacy complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
